LUSTRA COFFEE TABLE  — POPLAR BURL

Reflective form. Sculpted precision.

The Lustra Coffee Table pairs a gold-plated sphere base with a poplar burl veneer top. Individually arranged spheres form a reflective structure that interacts with light.

The burl surface reveals swirling, organic grain with natural variation, making each piece unique. In contrast to the precise geometry of the base, it introduces movement and softness.

Designed as a central element, the table anchors the space through material richness and sculptural presence.

MATERIALS AND FINISHES

Poplar Burl Veneer – Highly figured burl veneer with swirling grain, “eye” clusters, and warm light-to-honey tones. Each top is naturally unique.

Stainless Steel Base with Polished Brass Finish – Gold-plated stainless steel, sculpted into clustered spheres with a conical foundation. Durable, architectural, reflective.

CLEAN AND CARE

ORIGIN

It starts on paper. Before steel. Before stone. Before weight.
Lustra was first drawn as a study in compression — spheres carrying mass. A structure that looks unstable but calculates perfectly.

  • POPLAR BURL

    Poplar burl veneer, sourced from responsibly managed European forests, reveals a highly figured, organic grain with swirling clusters and natural depth, bringing expressive character to architectural furniture.

GOLD-PLATED STEEL

The gold layer is bonded to the steel through controlled electrochemical deposition — metal fused to metal.

The spheres are compressed tightly together. No gaps. Reflection becomes structure.

  • PROCESS

    The Poplar burl veneer surface is sanded by hand. The spheres are aligned and calibrated.
    The base is structurally tested.
