LUSTRA SIDE TABLE — BLACK ASH

Sculptural Contrast. Quiet Authority.

The Lustra Side Table features a gold-plated sphere base paired with a black ash veneer tabletop. The base is composed of individually arranged metal spheres, forming a continuous reflective surface that captures and fragments light.

The black ash top introduces a deep, almost matte presence. Its subtle grain remains visible beneath the dark finish, adding texture without distraction. The surface absorbs light rather than reflecting it, creating a controlled tension against the luminous gold base.

This contrast between reflection and absorption defines the piece — expressive yet restrained, sculptural yet grounded.

Designed as a standalone object or as part of a wider interior composition, the Lustra Side Table brings structure, rhythm, and material clarity into space.



MATERIALS AND FINISHES

Black Ash Veneer Top – Natural ash wood veneer finished in deep black, highlighting the wood’s distinctive open grain and subtle linear texture. Each surface reveals unique grain movement and character.

Stainless Steel Base with Polished Gold-Plated Finish – Stainless steel spheres arranged in a clustered formation with a conical foundation. Durable, architectural, and highly reflective.

LUSTRA — BLACK ASH EDITION

ORIGIN

It starts on paper. Before steel. Before stone. Before weight.
Lustra was first drawn as a study in compression — spheres carrying mass. A structure that looks unstable but calculates perfectly.

  • ASH VENEER

    European ash veneer, sourced from sustainably managed forests, offers a refined grain and strong, stable structure suited for architectural furniture.

GOLD-PLATED STEEL

The gold layer is bonded to the steel through controlled electrochemical deposition — metal fused to metal.

The spheres are compressed tightly together. No gaps. Reflection becomes structure.

  • PROCESS

    The Ash veneer surface is sanded by hand. The spheres are aligned and calibrated.
    The base is structurally tested.
